How do I remove the winshield squirters 200 1988

I have a 1988 Volvo 244 that I'm going to have repainted. I'm working on pulling off everything I can. Is there a trick to getting the squirters out as I have tried to push on the clips and pull out, but have had no luck. Should I replace these with the newer style "duel stream spryers when I'm done"?
Thanks and Happy bricking.

A quarter turn (twist) to right or left and they pop right out. Had same question. Was surprised at how easy and simple it was. Now you can swap nozzles and not tear them up.

I put the dual ones on my 89, 245.

Ah, that explains it. My 240 has round holes, but after I removed the squirters off a 740, I noticed that the holes were a cross shape.

Cut them off. It's just about impossible to get them off otherwise.

Replace them with new ones when the time comes.

Get a pair either off a 700 series, or buy a pair for a 700 series car (the ones with the dual squirters). Makes a big difference. I've done this upgrade on my '80.

    Good luck!
