What accessory was controled with the 'Blue' rocker switch?MNI 200

There is a rocker switch with a light icon, somewhat similar to the foglight icon, in front of a blue lens that lights when activated. I bought one on eBay and was told by the seller that the switch was for some kind of auxillary light or spotlight in countries outside the USA - maybe for police vehicles?

I think that switch is for front fog lights. I ordered a set of factory Bosch lights from my Volvo dealer and it came with the green switch.

Well, my '75 245 has both:

          "AUX LAMP" is green
          "FOG LAMP" is also green

Hmm. Is there a different icon on both switches?

Maybe different international markets had different switches.

Actually, I plan to use my blue switch to hotwire some rear fogs in my 240 since it didn't come with them.

    late (90+? 91+?) 240 have a/c controlled by a blue switch.

Or is this one an early type, all translucent switch?

No, it is a blue light switch for aux. driving lights. Late type switch. B MacGrergor has them.

You may be right. This switch came off an 89 maybe 90 240. No icon on it.The car did not have any fog lights[maybe someone got to them first]or any other accessory that I could find.It is a modern looking switch as opposed to the older all green switch. Thanks everyone for your input!
