intermittent hot start problem 700 1989

740gl,auto,89,180k
sometimes the will not start until engine is cool off. Engine will not crank.
check battery, starter,fuel pump ok. But after few hours later engine will start normal.
thanks for advice in advance.

    I don't the differences between 740s and 240s that well, but I assume you have a rpm sensor on the top of the bellhousing, to the rear of the engine? That is a common source of a hot restart problem. Check the FAQ for that.
