Steering rack boots cam type 200 1981

I received a kit with 2 boots for the steering rack. R/H side on the car is gone and the other on the drivers side is still there. The kit contains a short and a long boot. My question is, which boot to which side, as you go thru car parts, you either order the L/H or the R/H boot only, I received both. I can't find specifications on the net at all. Any help would be appreciated. Both are for vented type. One is about 6 inches long and the other is approx. 8 inches long.

Thanks

Compare them both to the one that is still on the car. Count the number of bellows. That may tell you what you need to know.
FWIW on a Camgear manual steering rack the short one is the left hand boot. If you have a power rack I don't know why it would be different.

If the boots have part numbers molded in, this might help:

    271541 (L) Manual Rack '75 on
    271543 (R)

    271544 (L) Power Rack '79-'87
    271542 (R)
