How on earth are you suppose to get these on and off? Are there any
companies that supply these new?

Alloemcarparts.com I purchased a pair of these a long while back. The ends are actually hexagonal so you can put them on with a wrench sooo easy =). I used channel locks and a grinder to get my old ones off.

i had to cut mine of my car when i had to replace the pump a couple of mounths ago. there was no way the nut was coming of the stud on the rubber thingies. they had become one piece after 30 years. i got mine from the volvo dealer. best of luck.

They use self-locking nuts which I ALWAYS replace with regular 6mm nuts.
I think I got some from RPR.
