Hi

I need to reset the lambda light on my 965 having had the exhaust replaced. The lamp came on when the exhaust (muffler?) blew.

I've read the FaQ on this and think (!) that only a dealer with a magic box can do this one, but can anyone pls. confirm?

    No problem with a '95. Just follow the procedure as described in the 700/900 FAQ ('Fuel Injection and Ignition Diagnostic Procedures in Bosch LH-Jetronic 2.4+, Regina, and EZK 116/REX 1'). This headline is a bit misleading since your car has got the Motronic 1.8 FI system but the instructions are applicable anyway.

    Please note that any stored codes other than 1-1-1 has got to be retrieved before you can erase the system memory. Another way of erasing the codes is to simply disconnect the battery for a minute or two. This doesn't work with the smarter :-) trans ECU, though.
