Round European motorcycle headlight on car?

Good evening all,

I have been looking at pictures of an E-code round 7'' motorcycle headlight.

It's lens looks very much like those of E-code car headlights, as far as fluting, cut-offs, etc...goes.

Can such a motorcycle headlight be used on a car?

Thanks!

    Does it fit? Yes.

Is it about as legal as using an E-code? Yes.

      Thanks, Evan.

I am mostly wondering about the 'illuminative' properties/pattern of an E-code motorcycle headlight on a car.

E-code headlights are legal in Québec, Canada.

It's been a few years since I've fooled with one, but awhile back, some of the european motorcycle lights had a pattern cut in the lense to throw a very high beam pattern toward the right shoulder of the road, so you coud get a bit more advance notice on critters running in from the woods. If you had a beam like that on the drivers sideon a car, it might throw a prety bad glare back on you in fog or snow.

          Thanks, Robert.

I went ahead and got the used-but-like-new motorcycle headlight for a really good price.

It's lens pattern is very similar to that of my E-code Carello headlights.

          We'll see...
