LED dash parts 200

Hope this works. The top pics are the original parts. The bottom are the different designs I tried. I am using the second from left and then adding the resistor, spade terminals and the shrink tubing. It looks better than these do when finished. I just attach the wires to the terminals and it works..Sorry all I do not own a digital camers for night pics in the car. This was done on my scanner...Hope it shows up..

Great job on this fix of bad lights on the old Volvo's.
I'm getting to the age where I'm getting night blind at night.
All mine will be changed out.I have extra bulb holders and can do all of them, then do the replace at one time. Can you give me a cost factor on what it cost for one light.
GREAT JOB""""""" Thanks
Rodney

P/S keep it up

That is a great scan! I didn't think the scanner could produce a decent image of 3D objects like that. Cool.

Those designs look a bit like mine. Recently I have moved on to creating a cast around the LED and resistor and filling in with a type of expoxy. Actually surfboard resin, just because I have a lot of it and it dries pretty clear. Below is pic of my most recent design for the 245 overhead dome light using 13 LEDs. Previously I made a different design using the stock housing with only 6 LEDs but it was a little too dim and I wanted to try something with a little more flash.

Sorry the pic isn't better. I will take more when I finish it.

Have you read over the FAQ entry about the guy who converted his 70 series Volvo to LED lighting?
