Thanks for the interesting and helpful site. I'm about to do the first service on my (new to me)'94 960...

What is the size of the Oil Drain Plug Gasket? Is this part generally available or should I order?

    Can't remember the size but the Aluminum one is preferred over the copper one. You should be able to get them at any auto parts store.

      Why aluminum over copper? My local Volvo dealer just gave me 1/2 doz (I was going to purchase, but the parts guy just gave them to me).

        The aluminum crush washer is softer than the copper alloy washer and takes less pressure to crush the washer, hence less chance of damaging the threads on the drain plug by overtightening and less change of leak.
