Rough running: is this linked to O2 sensor? 200

It's actually a 940 with B230FB injected engine (think there might be more knowledge in 200 forum). Anyway, started up today sounding rough and hesitated on drive/acceleration, engine 'hunts' on idle, nearing stall speeds. O2 sensor dash light is on (has been since I got the car two weeks/1,250 miles ago). I need this checked anyway, but can the two be linked, or should I look elsewhere in the meantime.

Thanks

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the FB version of the B230, but do you have Bosch or Regina EFI ?

I know when I killed each of two O2 sensors on my '89 240 (Bosch), it did run rough, but not when cold, only when it was warmed up.

The Regina uses a Tatania O2 sensor, which is a whole different animal, so I don't know that any experience with one applies to the other.

Are you sure the O2 sensor light (My cars don't have that)comes on because of an actual error detection and not just by miles like the Service Engine light on my 740 ?
