The verdict: Sat 9 days, wouldn't start 200

Thanks to all who answered my question about my '89 240 not starting after sitting idle for nine days.

Here's the deal: I got off easy. It'd been very damp for about a week and had rained like hell that morning. I changed my plug wires and spark plugs (the thing was REALLY flooded) and it fired right up.

Thanks again.

Glad to hear you got it going. I've heard of putting spark plugs in the oven at 200 deg. for 15 minutes to dry them out after a major flooding episode. jp
