growing puncture in each strut tower 200

need the brixsters today. i replaced my front struts (bilsteins t/c) & strut mounts (skf--oem) back in april.

the problem:
now, i'm seeing something trying to go throught the top of the strut tower next to the strut spacer (the thing with the 2 bolts on it). the other side is not as bad but something is coming through there too.

i made sure the springs were seated correctly.

i do note that the bilsteins did not go all the way to the bottom of the strut when i put them in, as the originals did.

it's getting worse. the other side is about the same location on the other strut also, a mirror image.

question: what's going on & can i stop it? i did not install any reinforcement plates.

regards,

A picture would be helpfull but it sounds like your refering to the dimples that are used to mark the alignment when replacing struts. If so thats normal. I put the strut reinforcement plates on my Wagon and my Sedan is also going to get a set. Maybe not needed but price is cheap enough to just through them in.

Thanks,Yama for your reply. i'm not sure how it can be normal. it's about to puncture a hole through the top part of the strut tower.

i'll get a picture as soon as i can.
