'90 740 front end questions

A few questions about parts and swapping; I was at the boneyard and there was a 740 turbo in nice shape with a lot of good parts. I have a nonturbo.

1. it has a much larger sway bar than my non-turbo; are the vertical links the same? that is, is this as simple a swap as it appears? the shape of the bar near the end was a bit different than mine but it seems they should interchange. It did appear to be a stock item and not an IPD or so.

2. The struts; I'm trying to id the strut inserts from these clues. raising the boot inside the spring revealed a very large diameter insert rod; I didn't have anything to measure with but it appeared to be at least 25% larger, probably more, than any other strut I have seen. The thing was frickin' huge. Also under the boot, there's a threaded sort of nut that screws into the top of the strut tube and holds the insert in; this was different then any other I've seen, it was more like a high quality machined nut than the pressed things they come with, was gold in color or cad plated, and was sort of castellated at the top to fit a tool I'd guess, rather than on the edges like the stock ones.
These appeared to be almost new so I may try to get them.
thanks for any comments

The endlinks are identical - yes, it's that easy.

The struts sound just like any other strut I've ever seen. That big nut on top is what threads into the top of the strut tube, retaining the insert. I don't know what to say about the rod, except that bigger is often better. A 740T should have Boge Turbogas shocks/struts, but there's really no way to tell what's in there w/out removing them, unless you can spot a tiny brand stamp somewhere on the exposed parts.

Struts are an awfully labor intensive thing to be messing with used parts. But it's your call...

Yeah, thanks; I may try to get the swaybar if it's that easy, but I forgot to ask, is it worth it? Any comments? I used to change them on my 240's and that was worth it. A real difference in handling.
The struts; I know what the nut is for; I described it as it's different than others I've seen. It's much more machined. The strut rod is hugely different than any other in the yard so I wondered if that was a clue to it's origin also.
I can possibly acquire these for $30 so if they're valuable then I may do it. They do look new.
