Turbo wheel recovery

I saw a set of turbo wheels on a 240 in the boneyard. They are pretty badly oxidized. Any tricks on recovery of these wheels. Are they worth getting or would I be wasting my time and money. They are probably $25 per wheel

Actually poor man's method is to wire brush them and use a 1" round brush and paint them with Rustoleum.

All you need to do now is to pick a real nice color that looks good with your brick's paint scheme. I've done yellow, white, sand , and burgandy. The yellow looked the best to me, but my wife refused to drive the car!

I agree with Kane. They can be stripped and refinished. The original finish is painted so you're not doing anything different if you sand or wire-brush them, and repaint something like the Volvo silver.

If they're look straight otherwise and have minimal curb rash (or less), it's worth it. Proper refinishing is to bead blast and powder coat. Poor-owner method is to scrub as much gunk off as possible, spray primer, spray paint, and spray clear.
