Track Rod Bushing Removal 200

I have replaced the track rod and torque rod bushings. The simple answer to your question is "yes" they can be removed without a press. However, the chance of damaging the bushing housing is increased if you choose not to use a press. Not to say you WILL damage them, but you must be careful and patient when doing them by hand. A strong work bench, a heavy duty vice/anvil, a sledge and of course, the proper size bushing removal tool (instead of a socket) make the job easier, safer, and decreases the potential to damage the bushing housing.

good luck,
