Power steering Question 900 1992

I noticed that when turning left, the P/S feels fine, but when turning right, it feels stiff, as if there is very little hydraulic assist. Is this a common problem on 92 960s? Could anyone offer any advice on what to look for to diagnose? Thanks

Had a 91 940 that was a bit stiff turning left, especially in winter. It is in the rack - and there are many hints on the BB fron magnets to changing the fluid to synthetic. I think there are some hints in the 700/900 faq's.

I never had any problems with power steering on my 92 960. Certainly had other problems just not with the power steering. In fact I never had any problems with the power steering on any of the six Volvos I have owned.
