Short to fuel pump? 200

Car is 1993 240, 115000, automatic. Car refused to start, checked the usual, discovered fuse to the fuel pump #6? was burned out. Replaced it and the car fired right up.
Where are some likely spots to start tracing for the problem?

I can't say. That fuse feeds the Fuel Injection (aka Fuel Pump) relay, which in turn feeds the whole FI system — ECU, AMM, Injectors, pumps, etc.

Sometimes fuses just let go. I would clean the fuse contacts well, and try a new fuse. If that blows too, I'd replace the FI relay (about $35 for aftermarket version at FCP and other 'net sources).

Bruce, Thanks for the response. Just wondered if there were spots where the wiring chafes against metal or problems areas to consider first.
