bumper cover repair 700 1989

Is there any glue that will fix a crack in my bumper cover ? I have looked at a replacement but the wreckers want $150.00 - it is on the side and low in the painted part and I want to fix it before my father visits and fixes it with epoxy, sheet aluminum and pop rivets- or worse

The proper fix on these is to have the plastic welded.

Generally speaking, epoxies do not stick well to the soft plastic bumper material (usually polyurethane or polypropylene), although there are ones out there which can do an acceptable job.

You can try the "as seen on TV" bumper repair kits, but don't be suprised if it doesn't work as well as it's advertised.
