Hopefully the FI seals will come in tomorrow. I do have to clean up my injectors and injector seats though. I can't decide if I want to paint the seats or just leave them aluminum or what. If I had the extra loot I'd throw that lightweight flywheel from v-p on there but thats an extra $425 I don't have this week =D I still have to tackle the engine bay though, bleh thats not gonna be any fun.

Tres beau mon ami!! I hope other under hood parts will be painted to match. Nice to see someone thinking outside of the box(an unintentional but not bad play on words if I do say so myself). Please post pics of the installed product. BTW I vote for a blue diff and yellow tranny with a striped drive shaft(I just parted out a 760 that had all the suspension painted yellow, and braking components red, previous ownew was a 17 year old that was alergic to honda's(volvo family)but felt obligated to paint and decorate like his friends, a shame such an effort went into a prv-v6 equipped car, and even worse when the tree jumped out and pulled the car into the ditch a 100 kph in the snow. The police found no trace of the tree's movements before of after the impact:).

Merci

Yvan

I like it. Especially if going in an orange car... couple other good paint schemes to mention...

My brother has a '70 Ford stepside pickup. When he got it, it was mostly light blue (faded to primer in places). It had a white front fender, grille, and hood. One grey fender, one green door.

Then last summer, a tree jumped out at him and took out the blue passenger door, and one blue rear fender. A friendly neighbor recently stopped by on his way to a "really good junk yard" and asked if we needed anything. Dan said he could use a door for a '70 FOrd pickemup. Neighbor asked what color, Dan said red. What he got is actually more of a dark orange, and it looks great. Now he's in the market for a yellow rear fender to finish out the theme....

The other one that was cool...and I really wish I had pictures of it... A rather interesting fella that lived nearby my folks when I was in high school had a early...69-70 or so 164 that he used for delivering newspapers every day. It was painted somewhat checkerboard style...red, yellow, green, and blue as I recall. In the local Volvo circle, it was referred to as "The Tijuana Taxi". My brother eventually bought that car for $75. Had a nasty rod knock, no oil pressure... but it never blew.

Enjoy the fun ride!
-Matt

Take off all the badges on the car that say "Volvo". Raid your neighbors back yard and get all the Fisher Price stickers from his kids toys. Apply them to your car.
Have a juice box to celebrate....
You forgot the upper edge of the oil pan flange....which I do constantly....when I paint them red....

Yep. I'm going to get to that, the engine is just sort of stuck together at the moment anyway for some quick pictures. Someone was bugging me for them =)

? Not me, couldn't have been. I just say build it... Actually both... But yeah, IPD shipped your seals today!

And, NO, his car does not match that paint job... Not at all... It'll be going in the ORANGE wagon, with a black engine compartment... Who knows what it'll look like...
Peace,

p.s. Now he knows for next time to think about it a little more before he does it, well, i think he learned that. Hah, i'm just playin. KEEP ON VOLVOIN

Actually I kind of like it. The blue could be a bit darker, like maybe Ford engine blue-Hey, maybe I should paint the center indent in my hood dark met. blue & the new engine to match! You could start a new color trend!!!!!!!!!!

Wide open til you see god--THEN brake [now that the engine runs again-Wheeeee]

Does the color scheme match the rest of the car or are you getting advertising money from the Bilstein guys? It's your ride make it your way and enjoy it. The wife put dingle balls and tiger stripped fuzzy covers all over the amazon wagon with an eight ball shifter and chrome foot gas pedal and light dimmer pedal to top it off.

ninja kick to the head...heh heh heh.

LOL...

That's rather handsome. Now you need to paint the rest of whatever car it goes into to match.
