I like it. Especially if going in an orange car... couple other good paint schemes to mention...
My brother has a '70 Ford stepside pickup. When he got it, it was mostly light blue (faded to primer in places). It had a white front fender, grille, and hood. One grey fender, one green door.
Then last summer, a tree jumped out at him and took out the blue passenger door, and one blue rear fender. A friendly neighbor recently stopped by on his way to a "really good junk yard" and asked if we needed anything. Dan said he could use a door for a '70 FOrd pickemup. Neighbor asked what color, Dan said red. What he got is actually more of a dark orange, and it looks great. Now he's in the market for a yellow rear fender to finish out the theme....
The other one that was cool...and I really wish I had pictures of it... A rather interesting fella that lived nearby my folks when I was in high school had a early...69-70 or so 164 that he used for delivering newspapers every day. It was painted somewhat checkerboard style...red, yellow, green, and blue as I recall. In the local Volvo circle, it was referred to as "The Tijuana Taxi". My brother eventually bought that car for $75. Had a nasty rod knock, no oil pressure... but it never blew.
Enjoy the fun ride!
