Brick on Fire! Looks like FI harnesses arced together...

I have been smelling smoke the last couple of days but never could see anything.
Well last night i smelled it and popped the hood to a small fire burning - I keep a fire extinguisher in the trunk (EVERYONE SHOULD) and put it out.

The only thing i could see was the front two cylinder's FI harnesses were melted together. I seperated them and wrapped them with electrical tape and drove on home. Drove the car into work this morning and bought a BIGGER extinguisher - so far everything is normal.

Plan on getting some high temperature heavy duty sheaths to slide over the harnesses.

Has anyone had this problem ? What else should I look for ? Its a 1990 740 Turbo with 192,000 miles.

I had a coworkers whos 1987 760 burned to a crisp in GA 400

I've owned 4 normally non-turbos - never had a fire before! Time got a 960, S90...might as well get a SAAB 9000 Aero ( I like the looks) with this type of risk :)
