Questions on Replacing Intake Manifold Gasket 200 1988

1988 240 DL B230F Engine, 268,001 miles
Good Morning,
Getting ready to replace Intake Manifold Gasket, read over Chilton's manual and process seems straight forward. Any tricks regarding this and Volvo's?
Frankly, the only concer that has come up to me is removing nuts/bolts that have likely never been removed.
Thanks in advance for the input.

should be pretty easy...I like to put a litle dab of grease in the socket to hold the nuts in place when reinstalling them...I hate crawling around on the ground looking for my nuts...

The only slight difficulty is scraping off all the remains of the old one without scratching the surfaces too much.
While you have the manifold off it might be worth taking the opportunity to check some of the other components that are easier to get at. The black plastic sludge box? You could undo and re-grease the knock sensor and temp sensor threads, just in case you might need to remove them at a later date.

        Cliff,
I'm hoping to proceed with this project this weekend. U understand undoing and re-grease the knock sensor and temp sensor threads, but the "black plastic sludge box" what is that? It that just below the Flame trap? thanks
