See Amazon 'Resurrection' at the iPd Garage Sale 120-130

Unless something unexpected prevents me from attending, our 122 will be on display at the iPd garage sale on May 15th. It's still missing a few bits, but good enough to be out in public. Maybe I'll get lucky and find the bits on sale.

Unfortunately I can only drive one car, so the MPPE 1800 won't be there. It doesn't look like anything particularly special anyway, so consensus seems to be that the 122 is the one to bring.

We're not selling anything this year, so I'll just be wandering around. Always nice to meet other people from the Brickboard, so please introduce yourself if you can figure out which one's me.

Who else here is going and/or showing a car?

I'll be there with a truckload of parts this year, and maybe a PV for sale. I won't be able to wander much, but I do want to see your sedan and Josh's wagon. Come by and say hi.

      Hey Lee,

That B20 core I bought from you while back got split up. The block is my MPPE motor and the head is on Cameron's supercharged motor (unless I'm really confused). Wish I could bring the MPPE down -- it'd be like a reunion for the old thing.

I plan to go but unfortunately the PV is not ready for a trip. This will be my first IPD Garage sale and I am really looking forward to it.

I'll be there, I am working on my shopping list right now, of course the $$$'s (or lack of) will be the limiting factor.

Can't decide whether to take the 80 245DL wagon, or the '92 wagon. I am leaning toward the '80 since it is more distinctive and I still have the original dealer sticker that I can display for fun in the window. Neither car is old enough or special enough to show, but to me they are great cars.

Nice question Phil. I would be lying if I said I wasnt excited about what I am bringing. It looks like I will be driving my newly completed 122 wagon out of the garage and straight down to P-town from Olympia, breaking in the new engine on the trip. Hopefully I can get the damn thing tuned right... Should install the engine and start it next week.

It is on air suspension (one of only 2 122s like it) and is COMPLETELY rebuilt. From the paint on up to the body seals, everything is new (except rear end and tranny). The paint is low-gloss black John Deere implement enamel. Custom interior in floral. Sweet stereo. The suspension incorporates an engine driven air compressor, 5 gal tank, and 8 individually operated solenoid valves for on-the-fly suspension adjustment. IPD sways, Koni adjustables.

Standard '74 B20, .030 over. Ported with high rev lifters, pushrods, 2x valve springs, Isky vv71, Dellortos, custom header, 2 1/2 exhaust (tentatively). All balanced to 1/2 a gram and assembled by a pro race shop.

I am sure I am forgeting something, but you should see it, I will be showing in the IPD lot. It is one of a kind.

      -Josh

Looking forward to seeing it, Josh. Variety is the spice of life, and all that...

Have you found a place that can sort out the Dellortos for you?

actually, I havent looked, I may just throw my friend's DCOE 45s on there, or some SUs, or a DHLA, anything I can find to make it run right, I have to be able to rev the thing within 60secs, and I dont want complications. Just afraid that I may never want to give those DCOEs back!
