Am almost through with completely redoing (rebuilt engine,M46 O/D,repainted, re welded floors,complete suspension, etc,etc) with son's 83 245 (="La LLerela"). She will be in Austin for good this summer. He's finally got a REAL job.

I'm needing to repaint both my 140s but the wagon takes precidence. I'm doing a whole lot of engine work and all that junk at the moment.

Yes, one regular Austinite, 87 245, keeping it running strong with help of this board. Know of any good 240s in any local junkyards? I need a parts car.

Another board-regular Austinite.

At the risk of "alerting the competition", I've had luck at Harold's Salvage, north on 183 about 25 miles, near Briggs. Unfortunately, they crushed 8 or 10 240's in the last six months-or-so. Down to 2 last I was out there, but they do get "new" ones.

Just moved to Austin-have an '83 244 DL, 150000 mi. Vernon Green. I've used Austin VeeDub for parts-they have 2 '80s 244s that I've attacked, and they have other bricks that I've used for radio parts. Really friendly folks, talk to Glenn.
