164e radiator 140-160

Hi everyone. I'm seeking to buy a radiator for a 1975 164E, automatic. Looking for a new model or a very good used one. Also, my vents continuously pumps in warm-or hot air. I've owned my vehicle for about a year and I can't seem to be able to allow fresh air to flow in. Can anyone help me out on one or both counts. Thanks in advance. Dred.

I, too, have a '75 164/automatic and can't find a new radiator. I just haven't been able to find one. So this spring I'm going to have to settle for, as others suggested, having mine reconditioned with a new core.

Sounds suspiciously like water control valve on firewall is culprit for warm air continuously.
Sorry about radiator but maybe a reputable radiator shop can tank and rod-out yours for reasonable?

    Mike!

I have the same problem with my 142 -- heat always on -- I think (hope) it's because the cable from the control wheel on the dash to wherever it goes on the heater is broken. It could, of course, be that the heater valve is stuck open as well. Check that cable to make sure that's not the culprit before you start draining coolant to dig out the control valve.
