Where On A/C System Can I Put in Freon? 200

Got an 89 240 running on freon R12. I need to add a can. Other than the compressor itself, is there another easier location to add into the system?

Thanks

Access to the #$@#$ place where R12 goes into A/C system..... 200

Met the same problem - no good way to do it.

First time I removed the AMM to get at the port on the compressor.

Latest time I put the car up on oil-changing ramps and reached in from the bottom. On my hands, a medium glove is a bit tight, a Large size a bit loose.

Smaller hands would be a help, or having a trained chipmunk handy.

My gauge set has a little angle in the low-side connection, which helps.

    Good Luck,

    Bob

    PS Got extra R12??

"On my hands, a medium glove is a bit tight, a Large size a bit loose."

Ahhh see... your the guy I was wishing for last time...On my hand a large glove is very tight...sz 14 ring...on top of that I'm a massage therapist by trade so I'm very paranoid about injuring my hands...

I have to pretty much go the "If it's in the way take it off route"...On the Volvo's, and at work actually...

another one of Volvos famous "what the hell is that doing way in there?" deals...but nope as far as I know the compressor is it...I have to use a pry bar on the wifes to raise the motor a little just to get a hose on it...
