exploring the inside.... 200 1992

I was cleaning and checking some fuses on my 1992 245 and noticed a small silver toggle switch located behind the Fuse box towards the floor...can someone tell me what it is for?

Thanks -

My '94 Wrangler has two(2) of them! The first one sets off the horn, the other I'm afraid to switch, I followed the wires and I might get electrocuted. I dont think it's the heated seats! Put some cotton in your ears and try it.

Ya' know I found a switch like that like that above the fuse cover on a '90 244DL we bought about a year ago. The PO had added it, and it actuated an INCREDIBLY loud siren. Sounds just like a cop's siren. I gave the car to our 17 y/o son. Needless to say, I removed the siren first.

By the way, if anybody WANTS such a thing, I'll trade it for some small center caps that fit Corona wheels. I'll throw in some other parts if the caps are in decent shape.

    I think it's the self-destruct button.

I had an ejector seat in my 142, 200 1992

When i bought it there was a toggle switch on the dash with a plastic surround on it that said "Ejector Seat". The guy i bought it from(and got way ripped off) said he didn't know what it really was(he was selling the car for his brother or something). A few months later, while driving at night, one of my friends flipped it, and i thought i saw my lights get brighter, sure enough, it was the switch for my brights... Now it now longer has that toggle, but a lighted one. Anyone in need of a cool Ejector seat toggle? I'll be bringing it to the IPD garage sale... =D later guys,
        Kyle
