cyclical rubbing noise in wheels S90-V90 1998

Love my S90 but starting to drive me nuts. I'm getting what sounds like a rubbing noise that I can hear in the wheels as they rotate. The sound gets louder as I drive slower. As I speed up the noise rotates faster with the wheels rotating faster. Sounds like the rear but hard to tell. Any ideas? Thanks.

have you done brake work recently? it is common for the backing plates to get bent enough to rub on the rotors during brake repairs, although I have also seen this happen various times when a wheel is removed/replaced,you really need to find out which wheel it is coming from first. drive slowly and have someone walk outside the car to determine which one is making the noise.

Backing plates were the problem. Now fixed. Thanks.
