Hi All -

My driver's side seat has been slowly coming apart at this one seam for a little while now, and the "open wound" seems to be getting a little bigger now and then.

(I think I may have posted one of the pictures in this post, but I'm not sure how it will appear or even how to post both of them so the link will accomplish that).

I searched around on the forum, and read in a few places that taking it to a shoe repair place would be good. I can do that, but I wanted to post the pictures and see if anyone has done something like this as a do-it-yourself, and if so I was curious what you used, and I'd also love to hear any general tips for doing this so it lasts.

Also, after searching around the board for tips about fixing this, I came across the recommendation of the "Leatherique" products for our leather seats. I've been using Lexol but I think I'm going to try this stuff for my 13-year old leather!

I know that I may just end up having to take this to a shoe repair business to get it done right, but I wanted to try and see if there are any good ideas from bricksters here, so thanks for reading and maybe I'll make an appt. for the shoe place anyway, but I'd love to hear from you if you've tried this! :-)
