91 240 DL w/ 130k miles. What does it need to pass inspection ? 200 1991

Hello,

I've got a 91' 240 DL with 130k miles on it that runs just fine. It's that time of the year again, and I need to know what gotcha's should I be aware of before I take the volvo in for inspection ? What can I do to save myself two or three trips down to the locale inspection station ?

Thank You

As another post said it all depends where you are.

My 91_240 @ 128,000 has passed inspection every year.

In the county where I once lived, they checked that all the lights worked, that the horn worked, that the tires were OK and that the glass was not broken.

10 blocks away, in the next county, they checked emmissions.

go figure

You're going to have to be more specific; different states have different things that they inspect, and some like California only check smog. Others don't check anything. Where do you live and what do they check?

I live in Texas, but I'm not sure what all they check for down here since this is my first test.

You should find out. I'm sure the Repulic of Texas has a website with all of the check points listed. Let us know if you think you might have a specific issue with your car.
