I just bought a P1800 steering wheel (the groovy two spoke aluminium one) assuming it would drop straight onto my Amazon 131 steering column but the splines differ.What needs to be done to make it fit? Is the P1800 steering column in two sections? If so will the top half fit the Amazon bottom half?

    what year is your 131? 1970?

    I have switched a 123gt wheel onto my 63 544. This should be the same as you are doing. Unless they changed the spline for the last , late 69 update, I'm puzzled.

    The upper 1800 shaft won't mate to the lower 122 shaft -- the steering couplers used between the shafts are not compatible.
