No more rattling rear end. No more Boge Turbo Gas Shocks! 200

So, just over two hours ago I replaced my Boge Turbo Gas shocks with Sach Advantage shocks and my '88 with 200k is riding as quiet as a mouse. As I said in a post a couple days ago, the Boge's were only two years old and had less than 30k. (I run up the miles). Anyhow, no more rattling noises from the rear end. Just took a wonderfully quiet ride in a light Virginia rain. I'm pleased as punch as my old man use to say. All the best! Rob

I have the same problem with my Boge Pro Gas in the rear of my 1990... I have attributed the drama, squeaks and rattles, to the fact that they are "hecho en Mexico". They fuction great but make a ton of noise. Boge, while original equipment on many fine European cars, is in my opinion slacking in quality control. Sachs, as is my understanding, are made in Germany -most like with higher standards. Even though I run Bilsteins in the front, there have been a ton of post on their receeding quality and many have come forth with stories of inferior struts or longevity issues.

No idea what happened. They started rattling within three months of installing them. I just figured it was the trailing arm or some other bushings making the noise. Boge shocks are pieces of junk is my guess. Best! Rob
