trans noise? 91 740 b230 700

I have an odd noise - I only hear it when accelerating, and in 2nd gear at upper rpms. The noise is hard to describe - like a "waaaaaa". Had it to a mechanic, who changed trans fluid and filter, but no change.

any ideas from the experts?

91 740 automatic, approx 120,000 miles

    Greg is correct that sound can only be heard by the center support bearing, must not have been a good mechanic if he easly over looked this one.
