Extra gauge light wiring 200 1983

Ready to go out and install the ambient temperature gauge in the '83, and i figured out all the wiring, sort of..... What's the best place to hook up the positive wire for the little light in it? I'm assuming it has to be somewhere that will dim the light with the others. Also, what fuse is best for the positive for the actual gauge. I seem to remember #13???
Also, i'm not doing it today, but how does the voltage meter wire up? that ones kinda beyond me.....

I can't remember if it is #13 on the b23's or not, b230 #13 is for sure. maybe someone else can confirm this. I know it needs to be 8amp, and although one may say 8amp, it may be bridged with another 8amp allowing 16amps to get over to the gauge, this happened when I wired in a volt meter a while back, had to try a few different ones to find one that worked, then again my car may have been wired goofy at some point, that was my old '84 245 (no longer with me).

run the power for the little light over to the light switch, that way it comes on when the lights are on and dims as well when turned.

if you take a lighter and melt some of the plastic wire coating you can easily splice it in.
