Hi.
My 91 940 shift lever will not come out of park unless the
shift lock button is pushed.
Brake lights work fine.
Might there be a relay for this function?
Any info would be appreciated.

    I've got the same problem with my '93 940. I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet, but if you check the FAQ you'll find instructions on replacing or repairing the switch responsible.

    The microswitch has most likely failed. It is under the shifter cover, and I believe a tech bulletin did away with it. I removed it in my 93 or alternatively you can push the manual override button. Good luck.
