Rats!! Crank pulley's got a crack..... 140-160 1973

I cleaned up the crank pulley for the engine for the Yellow Peril and found
out why the front was so slimy, although the felt seal didn't look too bad.
I had put the timing cover on with the seal sleeve on the crank, forgetting
that the dual-groove pulley for AC/PS has its own seal surface. Looking
at the pulley, it has a crack in the seal surface coming up from the keyway.
Anybody got a good crank pulley for a B18 or B20 they would part with for
a reasonable consideration? We aren't running AC or PS so either the single-
groove pulley without the seal sleeve or the double-groove pulley with the
seal sleeve would work.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Not necesarilly cheap, but we are now stocking aluminum crank pulleys that slightly underdrive the water pump and alternator.

Thanks, John, but I believe with heavy lifters, etc that is not exactly
      what I need.
Is your porting plan secret or could I get some hints? In the past I have
pretty much just lowered the hump that sticks up into the passage, and
smoothed (but not polished) and matched the manifold joints. Seemed right
to me but I have not really done much in the way of serious research.
      Thanks,

George, carefully inspect crankshaft snout and keyway for flogging . As pully is cracked it could cause wear and destroy fit for replacement pully. Regards Jack.

Neither the one I took it from nor the one I planned to put it on seem
to be damaged but I'll examine a bit more seriously. I suspect this may
be the result of an air conditioner compressor lockup or some such.
The pulley was cast iron and the AC compressor had been removed.
Since I have a spare crank that has been shot peened, the crank out of
that engine may or may not be used again.
      Best regards,

    George-

My son and I put AC in a 71 142 therefore we replaced the single pully with a double. It seems like what we took off was two piece, the pully itself stamped and a sleave of some kind that was a b--- to get off, but we did it. I keep about everything so it is around somewhere. If it sounds like something that will work for you let me know and I will start the digging process.

I've got a big heavy pulley from my 140 that i replaced with a thin one from Shayne. It is off of a 74 b20, and I think it actually has 3 grooves, unless they never came like that. If they never came like that, it is a double groove, i just never really looked at it hard. Email me if you'd like it. Peace
