lubricant question

i want to know if lithium grease is a good option around the heater valve hose fittings when i replace it

No grease on water hose fittings, your hoses will give out sooner.just smear a little anti freeze on the inside of the hose to help slide it on.no compatibility problems there.

lubricant question

i don't know what lithium would do to the rubber. i would use something like a silicone grease. just enough for a film on the fittings. if it pushes out when you out put the hose on, that's too much. good luck, chuck.
