Boneyards in NC 200

Hey All,

Quick Question, are there any good boneyards in the Raleigh or Wilmington Area? I'd like to go boneyarding on the weekends, but I need a place to start. The only one I know of is Tilton's off Poole Rd. out towards Knightdale. Any Pick-N-Pulls would be great.

Thanks in Advance.

...well, I really don't want to give away my secret stash... Just north of Jacksonville, in Richlands, is a decent salvage yard. Lots of Volvo's to pick at. It's called East Coast Imports. About 1 hour east of the I-40 and I-95 intersection, on I-24. Leave some scraps for me!

There is Price's Auto Parts, also in Knightdale. You know where the Old Seafood and BBQ Restaurant is across from the new Lowes? Off of 64 you would go North at the traffic light and follow the signs out into the country, it's marked well. The only thing I don't know is if they let you pick. But, they are almost all Volvo.

Hey Rob:
I don't know of any really good ones in the Raleigh/Wilmington areas. There is a small one between Greenville and Bethel on Rt 11 (West Brothers), but I'm not sure its worth the trip out here unless you confirm that they have what you want ahead of time. They are friendly and let you wonder everywhere, but their prices are still a little high, although nowhere near as high as our "full-service" parts yards. They have a half-dozen or so mid-to-late 80s Volvos, 240s and 740s. There is another one between Ayden and Grifton, but I haven't personally shopped there (and I can't remember the name), but I have seen several mid eighties and early nineties 240s in the yard. I'd be interested in what you find out about other pick-and-pulls, as there is stuff I'd like to shop for, too.
