Rear Wiper Failure 700 1992

Well... I got my 740. It's cool...needs a shifter bulb (I'm not sure about doing this myself, after reading the FAQ), and some other things are wacky, but there is ONE big thing that needs to be resolved ASAP: The rear wiper.

It's not working, nor is the rear washer nozzle.

I read the FAQ...is it just the rear wiper engine? I am up north once again, so there is the possibility it could be some salt issues. But the front ones are fine. I'm thinking maybe some wiring harness in the tailgate has gone bad. The 3rd brake light and plate lights are functional. However, 740s are a totally different beast from the 240s... What should I look out for as far as getting this repaired?

Start by finding out whether you have electrical current at the rear motor, then trace from there. Helps to have a wiring diagram (highly recommended: Volvo OEM wiring diagram book: see the FAQ for details).
