87 throtle cable compatibility with 89 240 200 1989

I have an 89 240dl with a busted throtle cable and was wondering if an 87 cable would be compatible?

    Yes the throttle cable is dependant on the intake manifold and all 240s after 1985 have a B230 intake so they should be a direct swap. Just check to make sure the length is the same.
