'cover' for rear of station wagon 700 1990

is it possible to get a 'cover' for the rear of a station wagon. i like to keep stuff in the back but don't want it to be open for all to see (out of sight out of mind).
thanks

I believe Volvo World (www.volvoworld.com) carries them... probably less $$$ than the dealer. Ebay is a good bet, too, if you can be patient - that's where I found mine (new in box, about $50)... but it took a couple months of looking. The cover from any 700, 940, or pre-95 960 should fit... don't know about 95+ 960.

Yes there are factory cargo covers. Keep an eye on Ebay, or try
www.erievovo.com who may have a good used one. Probably get one out of a 965 or similar high-line model.

A loadspace cover is well worth getting hold of. My 745 had one when I bought it and I find that I use it almost constantly. The genuine Volvo item incorporates a nice carpeted parcels shelf.

They are still available from Volvo dealers in various colours, but are likely to be expensive- One of the members here has a Volvo 700 site with the covers' part numbers listed on it.

If you buy a secondhand cover, be sure to get the mountings and the retaining fasteners (The latter are available from Volvo) with it so you can actually fit it to your car.
