Mobil Blended Detergent Oil- What does this do? 200 1990

I was in the store the other day and I saw this Blended Mobil Brand Oil that had "23% more additives" that helps remove deposits. It was called Cleaning Oil or something. I also read on the brickboard that using plain synthetic oil will remove varnish and buildup. If I want to do my 245K engine some good should I try these products. I have used Castrol traditional GTX forever.

Esters in synthetics will strip out varnish and dirt; however, ester content in many synthetics has declined in favor of PAOs. This is true for Mobil 1. The Mobil oil you noted merely has more detergent additive and should work as advertised.
