Whats a one owner 86 245 worth. About 200K, all dealer service. Needs to be detail, but overall conditon is very straight. heated leather seats, 4spd+od no rust anywhere. Trying to decide to part out or clean up and sell if there is any demand.Seems like its a bit of one year as far as parts go.

The only really unusual thing about that car parts-wise is the transmission. It's the last year of the 4+od transmission (as opposed to the true 5 speeds of the 87-93s), and the first year of the new body style.

One question, is it a DL or a GL? If it's a DL, that's vinyl upholstery, not leather.

Since it's a runner with no rust, you definitely shouldn't part the car out. There's a good demand from Volvo purists for 240 wagons with sticks.

If you get to KC I have $1700 provided my wife dies between now and then and I find my pants again. She had them on last I saw. No really, If it is as described and the AC works around here you could get $2000 from a knowledgeable buyer.

Please don't part it out. There is a 245 shortage in the midwest and we need guys like you who...well, let's just say have yet to aquire a taste for Swedish grocery getters.

Thing is i already have an 83 245 Twagon, i just happened to acquire this one. Most of the things i like about the one i currently drive won't transfer over to the 86, which is in better physical condition than mine. I'm all about the volvo's, don't worry about that, it's just a matter of preference in which one i want to drive...

Compare prices with the listings at www.bargainnews.com
This car should rate better than most of the cars listed here since it's rust free- a rarity in the Northeast in a car that old.
But it's not really anything special other than darn fine transportation.
What could it be worth? $2 grand tops?
