the 'ol 960 hit 200k today while trudging thru an ice storm mother nature dropped on us and out of all the cars i've owned it far surpasses any that i've driven on ice.i've had limited slip on others,but this 960 performed wonderfully even though i may have to replace the drivers seat due to the pucker facter.there were plenty of AWD vehicles that found their way off road while the brick rolled on.let's see if she goes another 200k!

yes dan,it does feel good to hit the mark.car still runs and handles great(except for those pesky nivo's starting to go) at 200k. most cars have already retired to that great parking lot in the sky.so today i treated her to the works car wash,injector cleaner and a full tank of 93 octane.at 10 yrs. old the paint even still shines.i drive these bricks primarily for the safety facter(after surviving a very serious accident in a bimmer) and the longevity and everything else is a BONUS!!!!

no,i haven't put on any badges as i haven't ordered any.can you get them thru VOLVO if it's not serviced there? i do all my own maint. and service. my 245t went over 250k before requiring 2'nd turbo,gave to son but it just sat yearning for attention-the 242t had around 225k before it was rear-ended last winter(totaled) and it's replacement was the 92 960,it has 189k and catching up quick to the 94.i've never even found badges in all the junk yards i've scavenged thru.i'd dress up the grill and let the brick proudly display the badges if i had them.

Doesn't it feels good to hit the mark? Yes, you can still get a badge from Volvo. I just went to their web site and found a phone number somewhere, wish I remembered, just called and answered a few questions. When you finally receive the thing your car may be ready for the next one. It seemed to take about 8-12 weeks.
