London, Ontario (Off Topic)

Is there anyone in London, Ontario who would be willing to make a local
phone call and put in a good word for me? If so, please drop me an
e-mail. I would really appreciate your help.

Hi, George. London is not local to me but it isn't exactly the Czech Republik either, so possibly I can help... either reply to let me know what is up (may have missed earlier chat here), or if you prefer send me a private message thru the board.

(If you have any ideas about my stalling problem posting, that would be great too :-) )

    Cheers

Many thanks, Steve, and if it were an oldtimer (75 or earlier) I might
be some help but considering Susan's 1980 245 problems, mysteriously
resolved, I have serious doubts - Like the Lord told Job's "friends"
I would probably "darken counsel by many words".

The problem in London seems to be resolved. Had to do with an ebay
transaction, Bartlesville memorabilia. How it got all the way to
Ontario I probably will never know but anyway they were unhappy because
they hadn't received payment yet. Well, Monday was a holiday in the US
so nothing mailed after noon Saturday moved until Tuesday, maybe noon.
I think we finally came to an understanding that the money IS on the way
and we can do nothing to make it any sooner. (Even from the Sooner state!)

Many thanks for your offer of help, though.

The one Quebécquer that I know is Stephane Lapointe. He might be able to
      give you some good advice.

      Thanks again,

Whenever you should need a reference concerning your integrity in dealings George, I'd be honored to be called to your assistance.

          Many thanks! I'm honored.

Hope things are well over there. Cool and damp here, may frost tonight
but not bad considering it is January.
