wagon rear bumper mounts 120-130

I got a chance to look closer at the remains of the wagon bumper mounts, and the other one is pretty rusted out as well, partially bonded to the actual bumper bracket. So a quick weld fix is out of the question. I searched around and it looks like no new ones are available from all the local or european sources. Has anyone fabricated one of these beasts? It is possible, but not a simple cut as the bumper bracket slides into the actual mount.
Thanks,
-Erik

They are made out of pretty hard/springy stuff, which greatly reduces body
damage if/when you REALLY need them. I don't remember how much different
they are from sedan mounts but I would not fabricate them from mild steel.
Also when you mount them, make sure you use appropriate spacers to get the
required clearance all the way around. It may take quite a bit of adjusting,
but once you get them right and GOOD AND TIGHT, they may save you a lot of
grief. I've had them the other way and suffered quite a bit of damage because
of the paint/body shop's unwillingness to do the job right.

How are these different from the sedan bumper mounts? I may have one (or two) in my heap of beast parts.

Pearl,
I am not sure they are different. Volvo used alot of the same parts...
The only possibility is that the wagon has a different floor than the salon models? They look like an L shape with a thin rectangular hole running the length of the bottom. Any of your parts match this?
I wish I had a photo of a working one. The only photos I have are of mangled ones making reverse engineering more fun.
Thanks,
-Erik
