This 1977 242 dl needs a heater core and blower motor.Car is original white with no rust, good glass.Have not driven it yet; owner states 4-speed clutch,motor and brakes all in good working order. owner bought from local dealer(trade in)who stated car was one owner car?Spedometer stoped at 25,000 miles.owner had it in his front yard since last fall.Had 1,100$ as price to start and now has it at 700$. Asked him his bottem dollar and he said he would take 500$If after testing out owners claims of running condition I decide I like this old brick is this a fair deal?Thanks for your feedback!

The heater core is a PITA, definitely should be a negotiating point... At any rate, examine the trunk and floors carefully, if they're really rust-free the car is worth the $500- at least it would be here in the northeast.

Drive it first and see how it feels. I have a 77 244 (I'm in Mpls) and it has taken some work to keep it maintained; be ready to spend some time to keep it proper. But I really like the look of the 1970 240s, more than my wife's 90.
