240--front wipers won't park 200 1990

The front wipers on my 240 sedan won't park. The high & low speeds work OK, and so does the normal ON-OFF on the stalk switch. Should I be checking the relay, or the contacts on the motor housing, or what?

    If Rob's idea of the connector pin doesn't solve it - don't be afraid to dismantle the motor cover and check the contacts inside. You can do a test run with the cover off, then you will see if the "park" contact is bent/broken or whatever.

    I found that the wiper motor off my 1980 parts car was a better built unit than the one off my 86 parts car - so that is the one on my 87 245 now.

    Check the connector right at the wiper motor. When this happened to me, I found a pin had pushed back in the connector. The pin needed a minor tweak to make it stay snapped in place, then all was well.
