Seeping oil at rear crank seal 200 1989

As per the above title, after I park the car (HOT) there are a couple drops... they seem to come out of the bellhousing inspection window at the bottom.

My PCV is clear, for sure, trap is clean, oil seperator blows like chimney (I actually took it out a few months back and flushed it thoroughly), little vacuum hose is clear and brass intake nipple pulls strong vacuum so it's clear too.

No other apparent oil leaks anywhere else. The engine has always ran super great and smooth, B230f n/a. The car does have 249K kilometers (upper 100s miles).

Anything before condemn the rear seal? It's unfortunate since only 1 month ago I did the tranny (auto) tailshaft seal and bushing so I was half way there...

Thanks in advance,

Greg, I wouldn't worry about a few drops of oil. The time trouble and expense of changing the seal isn't worth the bother for such minor problem. You might want to try a engine sealing stop leak compound available through Canadian Tire etc. but otherwise just make sure you keep the oil clean and do regular maintenance as required. My '83 242 ( 286000km) has had a minor rear seal leak for about two years and isn't any worse than when it started

True, but the only issue is that I can't park in my driveway (light gray unistone paved) with the leak!

Otherwise i would jsut leave it.

I appreciate the problem with driveways. Perhaps something which you could put under the car (like an old cooking sheet) or leave on the driveway to park over ( absobant matting) would work. Otherwise if the stop leak doesn't do the trick then it's replace the seal I guess.
