Fuel Economy Gauge 200 1990

I just bought a fuel economy gauge on ebay - where is the ideal place to tap the vacuum line? Is there a spot on the intake manifold that is plugged up? The engine is a B230 (1990 240DL) Thanks

    You tap in with a "T" to the vacume advance to the distributor.

    Run a line out to the engine compartment and use a "T" to tap into one of the lines coming from the engine side of the intake, not one of the ones on top where the butterfly in the throttle body is. If you tap into the line going to the vacuum tank inside you will get a bad reading, there is a check valve inline with the source for vacuum on that system.

      Could I tap into the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum line?

        You could, I was thinking of the small one that goes from the manifold to the flame trap.

          I wouldn't tap into the vacuum line from the regulator. Sometimes when the regulator fails, fuel can be drawn into that line. By taping into it, you could potentially be bringing fuel into the cabin.

    Hello,

    I would tap it inside the car, right before the vac line goes into the vac tank for the vent control.
