windshield fluid motor replacement 900 1995

Hey Everybody,

I have a 1995 960 sedan and the windshield fluid motor seems to have failed. Does anybody have some insight on how to replace the part and where to a replacement as well? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Sidney

windshield fluid motor replacement 900 1995

First be sure that it is the motor. In the family's s90
I noticed that the headlight wipers still sprayed but not
the ones for the windsheild. I had someone hold down the
sprayer while I looked under the hood. To my suprise I
had seen fluid come out from under the cardboard hood cover.
I removed it to find a valve that seperates the fluid
into driver and passenger side sprayers. There is a hole
on it that was spraying fluid all over the engine
(obviously it had failed) the very easy fix was to remove
it, open it up, take out a small rubber gasket, put it
back together and sodder the red plastic rubber cap to
the rest of the valve. Now it works better than I have
ever seen it work before. I hope it is as simple for you.
